| This would be like finding out terrorists struck the World Trade Center years before 2001.. Oh wait |
Behold this creepy ad for a voluntary swine flu vaccine from the 70’s.
While the creepiness is timeless, the relevance comes from the recent 21st century outbreak, of which it is impossible to not be aware if you are reading this on the internet.
Remember, transferring the disease is as simple as making eye-contact, so, much like encountering a gorilla, remember to freeze in your tracks and stare at the floor if you encounter a coughing individual, taking great care to not flare your nostrils.

this ad campaigne is a waste of airtime no matter
of how much you clean your hands after sneezing all around you
there are benches and railings in town places and parks there are hidden
germs and you will still attract the flu anyway so the tagline is catch it
grab it and bin it is relativly pointless my policy is that you either got it or have not got it the news is trying to cause mass hysteria on this case so this advert
warning viewers the dangers of this flu is a waste of airtime and the flu can
also be airbourne too.

This ad’s also a fraud, because swine flu doesn’t kill any more people than the “normal” flu. All it does is line the pockets of Donald Rumsfeld. Would’ve thought he made enough money already outta Iran.
I dunno, maybe Osama Bin Laden might catch swine flu.

As a healthcare worker in NYS I found this really really really interesting and amusing. The govmint has been trying to scare all of us heath care workers into getting a “mandatory flu shot or lose your job.” They are damn seriious–and so are the lawsuits that many many of us support against this tyranny.
Personally I’ve given flu shots—I just don’t want one for myself, ever. I’m sick of government that has been using fear to strip away our civil liberties and force us to do whatever it wants–and pharmacutical companies playing up the fear even more (and pushing untried- rushed- into- production H1N1 vaccines) to get even richer. But I didn’t know that the scare tactics have been around that long! Thank you so much for that info!!

Over the long-term, elevated cortisol may be as detrimental to overall health as elevated cholesterol or elevated blood sugar.
