Cerebrus stands before the gates of hell
Not pictured: Third head

This commercial comes from a time and place so long ago and so far away, its origins may never be known.

Ok my boss just told me it comes from Japan, and you can see a watermark in the lower left corner that says the spot is from 2001.

Aside from these meager clues, we are left to merely guess as to the purpose of the product being sold in this commercial. Is it a box full of ground up kitty pieces? Using our best estimation of the Japanese culture and people, we can only say, most probably yes.

  1. They’re flapping their arms to “bark”… but based on the way they’re painted, that’s not what they should be flapping….

Gotta go cleanse my brain of that mental picture…

  2. Really bad commercial… I don’t understand it’s meaning.

I think that the producers weren’t too bright to think of such a bad commercial ;)

  3. It makes about as much sense as most Japanese commercials
