Hey where did my comment go (shaking fist)
If you see this post, then you’re seeing the site on its new server. I’ve restored some comments lost that were made while we were moving the database, but some may still vanish. If you can see this post, any comments you make from now on will be safe and you can sleep easy.

What’s funny is that someone has already said they were “leaving forever” over censorship because their comment vanished.

But shouldn’t the geeks who packed the boxes and drove the truck to the new server have put a:
——–>click on this button to be directed to the new server
at the old house, rather than leaving us standing at the door, ringing the bell when no one was home?

E-I-C, I believe I have seen ‘you will be redirected to the new site in X seconds. If you aren’t redirected, press this button’.
Isn’t that a function of programming the old site correctly to send someone to the new site?
If it isn’t, it should be.

I can refer someone to a new URL, but the issue of moving to a new server with new name servers is one of DNS, and takes up to 3 days to propagate those changes throughout the Internet.
