Just when television watchers couldn’t take the endless “Beep Beep” Ford ad deluge anymore, they decided to relent on their advertising schedule. Unfortunately it seems to have been replaced with another non-stop sing-a-thon, with American Idol winner Taylor Hicks singing about how much he loves Ford. Over and over and over again. In certain market areas, this commercial plays continuously, every commercial break, in every available national and local slot. In a small South Carolina town it has been playing non-stop for eight days on the local Fox affiliate.
It isn’t so much that the song-bite is annoying by itself, but once you hear it, say, twice in one commercial break, one starts to wonder if they died while watching an “Everybody Loves Raymond” rerun and woke up in hell without noticing. If Ford is going to buy so many commercial runs, at least they could break it up a bit with, oh I don’t know, at least a single other goddamn commercial that doesn’t have the same song in it.

OMG AMEN to that, I am so sick of hearing it 10 times an hour. This commercial has got more air time than Taylor Hicks will get in his career.
Would be interesting to find out how many potential customers Ford has pissed off.

I love the commercial, too and wondered what happened to it. It had some life to it. Taylor Hicks is awesome.

Why are Ford and Campbell’s soup using the same song in their commercials??
I love the Campbells but can’t stand the Ford.

I loath This commercial. I Hate Taylor Hicks, American Idol and the millions of socially irresponsible, easily manipulated “Tweens” and campy mid-western sorostitutes who made this show possible…eating cheese doodles and texting to vote for some idiot who should have maintained one once of artistic integrity and sought out a musical career through hard work and motivation.In turn American Idol is created..as well as this god awful commercial and eventually to the absolute break down of civilization as we know it… Ugh… Pawn your coke and Fords on the Bible belt fox!

Here in California (Orange County) we get both the awful Taylor Hicks Ford commercial and the lovely Toby Keith Ford Truck man commercial to appeal to the White Trash over in the desert or something. Both performers should be shot or at least maimed…
