Look everyone the Fonz is going
to jump over this commercial on his motorcycle

In this shark commercial, Diet Mountain Dew has produced a spot so retarded it’s hard not to laugh at it. This is a rare well-executed goofy spot that won’t leave a bad taste in the viewer’s mouth..unlike Diet Mountain Dew. Nah just kidding, it’s all right (wink wink).

Other than being darn silly, I don’t have much bad to say about this ad. About sharks though? I could go on all day. I heard once a shark bit off a surfer girl’s leg. What were the sharks thinking? They must have known it would be terrible P.R. for them.

No. Stop what you are doing.

This is what all television commercials would look like had the Nazis won the war. In this television ad for Volkswagen..we see, um..stuff.. happening..

After that stuff happens, some more stuff happens. Then it’s rounded out by more stuff and talking.

Sometimes when making a commercial intentionally weird you can get a little too weird and the commercial gets bad. But then, theoretically, if you keep going and make it so very weird, something magical may happen. I’m not sure if this commercial went far enough in that direction, but it’s far enough to be disorientating and dangerous to those with weak hearts, pregnancy, and back or neck injuries.

Ameriquest Touches Our Hearts

This logo is owned by Ameriquest and they
are not affiliated with this site and
probably would not like us.

As a follow up to our discussion about the Ameriquest Super Bowl ads, a site patron sent in two more Ameriquest ads. The first ad can be viewed here, and features a man being mistaken for a robber and beaten up. Take that cell phone man. The second ad can be viewed here, in which we see a man murder his cat with a butcher knife.

Both ads are very funny, but do skirt farther into life-like violence than most other ads on television. While very well done, it doesn’t really scream “get my mortgage with these people”. The humor seems more fit for a beer or energy drink ad.

I hope we have all learned not to mace anyone or call the police until we are very sure a horrible crime is being or has just been committed. You can always be less vigilant.
