Wipe that soul patch
off your face

Ventriloquist acts are never funny, and this Sprint PCS commercial is no departure from the norm. It might be kind of funny that both the performer and his dummy have a soul patch, but only in a very sad “hey remember when you had a rat tail” sort of way.

The only way this commercial could combine more comedic elements that have no comedic value is if were Carrot Top that had a dummy that looked just like him. I hope he’s not listening I’m worried I just gave him an idea.

Ya’ll got magicians? Hello?

Late-night phone hotlines are such easy targets I barely want to even bother with them on this site. It’s enough trouble just calling them every night. There are some doosies covered here, and this spot is a good addition. Unlike the other regional ads that desperately try to look local, this one definitely seems local, and if it’s not they’ve done a good job making it look that way.

It might just be my imagination, but watching this ad the girl seems somewhat less interested in entertaining anyone. I think perhaps she is being held hostage and doing this spot under duress.

I can’t believe I quit Nine Inch Nails
for this

By special request here is an especially annoying commercial for Carolina Ford. There are a few cuts of this spot but they all use the same music track. The track is kind of extremely really somewhat very annoying. This song poisons the minds of our youths and robs us of our precious bodily fluids. Once you listen to it, you can’t unlisten to it.

The song definitely can get stuck in your head, but without identifying the brand in the song I wonder if it serves as good advertising or just a good annoyance. Listen and find out for yourself.

I told you never to come back
to my planet

He was on the air last year and now he’s come back for revenge. The screaming immitator wants you to buy mulch. Really really badly.

Sometimes when local advertisements get so bad they do a good job of getting your attention and being memorable. This second installment of “Mulch Madness” does a good job of hitting the nail on the head, even if it can be pretty annoying. And it’s always fun to watch something where it looks like they had a good time shooting it.

I’m just flat-boned

Making commercials warning against smoking pot has always been a tall order. In order to really scare someone, you have to exaggerate the possibility of negative effects. When you tell the truth, well it’s pretty funny. “Oh no I might sit around all day watching TV and doing nothing.” I want to do that stone-cold sober.

This campaign has a few spots showing kids all totally distorted on CGI..it’s kinda trippy man. Look at her.

What was I typing? I don’t remember. Don’t you hate it when you just watched something on TV and it goes off and you don’t even remember what it was? Oh shit look at that squished girl. She’s all squished.

In summary, this ad is silly and a little creepy, but somewhat fun to watch.
