This commercial is for a phone “chat” service. There is no hanky-panky going on here. No siree ma’am.

This ad is of rather high quality, especially for a phone “chat” service. But do people who call into this thing really look like this? Where are the fatty mouth-breathers? Doing absolutely no research, I assume this ad must be misleading.

And this ad tries to make things look like a casual and chatty affair. But how long before the conversation degenerates into a frenzied telephonic beat-off session? Not long if I’m involved, that’s for sure.

Last month NYC Remembers dot org ran several classy TV and radio ads on the subject remembering September 11th. The ad we are featuring here is an interesting take on the awful commercial; the ad begins with a fake cautionary ad for an imaginary “September 11th sale”. I find the ad executed well, and manages to get the attention of the audience without being offensive outside of the allegorical commercial-within-the-commercial.
