| A pill to make me focus? Uh, what? What do those pills do? Help me focus! Great! I need..uh.. to.. uh.. |
There’s a “doctor” who never explains what his credentials are, pills that seem to target hypochondriacs, and results that could probably be psychosomatic. The demon scourge of radio and TV advertising has come to roost its earthly form in the form of these horrible commercials for Focus Factor.
WATCH and see people yearning to focus. LISTEN to testimonials as compelling as “It’s FREE? Well it’s GOT to be good.” WITNESS your brain try to eat itself as you ask, did this commercial just invent a problem you now think you might have and offer you a cure in just under sixty seconds?
The most terrifying aspect of this commercial is that it probably really does make people buy the product.

It’s too bad you didn’t take the pills to get smarter BEFORE you gave them your credit card number.
Seriously though that is terrible if it is true. AOL did the same thing to me. I had to fake my death to get them to stop charging me.

Has anyone looked at the actors in this commercial? Notice that many of them favor each other… and the owner of Vital Basics? They’re related! This dude got some of his family to vouch for his fake pills!

The person hawking Focus Factor is now using a different name than in the not too distant past. When they first started, his name was something like Dr. Greg Cinemon, Phd. Now he is using a different name.

How can we expect these pills to work if he can’t even remember his name?

Did it also destroy your inner monologue?

After taking focus Factor for a week, I found that couldn’t fall asleep. My nerves we shot and I couldn’t focus on anything.

They charged my card extra $299.99 which caused my rent check to bounce. After calling them, this lady told me that “once you agree for free sample we automatically subscribe you with a health advising something something, that cost $299.99 a month………………….&*&*…….%%****>>>>>….I don’t have to tell you what was my reaction after I heard this, imagine it yourself. All I can say is, I was refunded promptly.
What’s a “inner monologue”? Does it have anything to do with the penis?

Soon, casey, you will be too intelligent to even want to communicate to us. We will be like ants to you, and you will simply gaze down at us, bemused, if you choose to gaze towards us at all.
Though I don’t know if it is substantiated, heed the warning of shine’s post above, watch out for extra charges with this, or any “free” offer (a la AOL).

I just went down to Walgreens to check this product out. After looking at the label and comparing it to other products, I feel certain that it is nothing more than a very expensive multivitamin. The ingredients are comparable to Centrum just having some ingredients in much higher doses. Centrum’s Performance formula is comparable in ingredients and percentage of RDA and the price is much friendlier. After seeing that, I won’t even try their “free” offer.

Of course it’s a crock-a-$%*@ ! The snake oil salesmen are atill with us and always will be. The only thing I can’t figure out is how the guy in the commercial can keep a straight face when he knows what a load of crap he’s spewing. Anyone considering taking advantage of (being taken advantage of?) the “free” offer should completely read the terms of agreement whereby, in accepting the offer, you agree to enroll in a program requiring you to continue to purchase additional bottle of the stuff at high cost.

well, this completely changes my mind on getting the product. I was actually considering getting it because my mind has been forgetting everything lately and its driving my husband crazy…lol perhaps I will just take centrum or something…thanks for the heads up!

I was looking into buying focus factor for my son. He’s borderline adhd, he’s hyper yes but i don’t think that’s what’s causing most of the problem. He has a REALLY short memory span, and not because he wants to, when he forgets things in a short period he gets so frustrated. Anyway, everyone’s been telling me medications and yadda, i’m looking into other forms. I looked into focus factor for him to try to help and i found out that the ingredients, as said above, ARE the same as vitamins found in the gnc store. So… I bought One source vitamins for active kids and IT’S WORKED! The vitamins are maybe 15 bucks for a big bottle and he seems to remember things, calm down and take his time, and not get so frustrated. I’d recommend anyone that buys ANY type of pill, do your research, same goes for those penis enlargements and breast enlargement pills… if you’re that self conscious, go to your doctor and ask for hormone pills. Just pray the people around you don’t have to suffer.

I just bought a bottle on the discount rack at Walmarts for 5 bucks. I always wanted to try it, but was skeptical and unwilling to give my credit card number for the “free” bottle. It was the kids wafers. I tried to get my 14 year old to take them, but he said they tasted terrible and (gasp) spit most of them in the garbage. I gave the same dose (8) to my husband, and he gagged and acted hyper and dramatic, but took them. I took 8, also. They do taste pretty bad, I can’t imagine the threats it would take to get a child to take them. The ad says they help right away, so here is my day end report.
Results: My son didn’t absorb anything, and continued to act like a 14 year old with ADD (which he is).
My husband didn’t seem to have any effects, and continued to act like a 50 year old with ADD (which he is).
I, on the other hand, did seem to be calmer with more energy, and maybe more focus. If I run across another bottle for cheap, I’ll keep trying it. I walked the dogs twice as far, and felt less tired than usual. I was able to complete housework that normally takes hours because I get distracted so easily. I think it might have helped me, perhaps because the answer to problems in a pill form is so appealing. Even if it is purely psychological, If I can get a little help without breaking the bank, I’m all for it.

I am so glad I read this. I almost thought, “Well what will $4.95 for shipping hurt?” Thanks everyone. I guess I am just getting older and not much one can do there. My question is, why in the hell do they allow these scammers to continue their medicine shows? Just like the “male enhancement stuff” and the hair growing. It is all lies sold to people grasping at straws.

One need look no further than the gentleman’s Flowbeed hair to realize he’s full of sh*t. Even worse his media consultant let him say “I’ve been taking focus factor for two years and I wouldn’t work a day with-oat it”– that terrible accent– really must appeal only to the QVC/HSN crowd. I suspect most orders come from Nebraska and central Kansas? … Just sayin’.

I took the pills a few years ago, and I dont remember having any of the credit card charges that some of you had. I am not sure if the pills helped my memory at all but, when I would take the pills after a period of time my vision improved. I have perfect vision already but colors looked much more vivid and detailed. It was like turning on the High Definition. Thats all, take what you want from that.

I ordered the free bottle of pills, took them and now I’m preparing a report that completely debunks Einsteins theory of relativity. This pills rock. My iq is up 200% since taking the pill. Amazing. I can now also focus on other mind altering rip offs online. WooHoo!

Guy’s,
Believe it or not, I have been taking focus factor for a year now and it is truly amazing!! I tried taking the generic focus smart from costco and it does not work as well. My focus and memory has never been sharper. I am an electrical engineer so my memory was not too bad to begin with. Ya, the commercial sucks and they try to scam people with the free bottle, but this stuff actually works for me.

I bought the generic version from CVS the other day, just for grins. Had to read 300 pages of legal documents, and I figured I needed something more than Starbucks double espressos to get me through. All I have to say is, man was I focused! I was focused on how far I was from the bathroom, because this things had my bowels in a state of thermonuclear meltdown for 3 days. The good news is, I had plenty of throne time to read my documents. And, I lost 5 lbs in the process! Such a deal!

I was thinking about getting some of this stuff on the free (shipping only) offer, and did my checking on the Net first to see what the catch is. Good grief! If you check, they’ve been pulling this stunt (shipping you more and charging you for it) for over three years! Jerks.
Then I was at the local drug store and looked at the stuff there to see what it is, and if you read the bottle, it’s mostly some generic vitamins that you could buy separately MUCH cheaper. If you look at their dosage info on the package and figure out the cost, it’s UNBELIEVABLY expensive.
I think I’ll just stay unfocused, thank you very much.

I have been on Focus Factor for a few weeks now and I have noticed a difference on several levels. Like the earlier post above, I also have had some diffculty sleeping more than 3 to 4 hours without waking up. I also have noticed the other poster’s reaction that my vision seems a bit more vivid. What I did notice also was the difference in price from buying this at Target and buying it on the Focus Factor websight.. 60 tablets cost 20.00 and Focus Factor sells a 120 tablet bottle for almost 60.00. So obviously, you should but it at Target or Walgreens (I believe Walgreens was charging 40.00 for 60 tablets actually). I do not take 8 tablets though, I realized that it was too excessive and I immediately cut it back to 2 tablets twice daily…that seems to have a more “acceptable” effect.
One more side-effect of Focus Factor that I have noticed is that it is great for recovering from a hang-over! Hahahaha

I have been taking focus factor for 2 years and I am not sure if it is helping me with anything except my daily vitamin intake. I am a nursing student and I have to read my materials over and over again in order to remember. My memory still sucks and I am looking for another product that has better results. I also want people to know that the 60 pill bottle of focus factor costs 19.99 at Walmart every day. This is the regular price.

You guys have me worried. Have you guys heard anything negative about Synaptol from MicroNutra Health, which is suppose to do the same things as Focus Factor claims. The product is very expensive but also very appealing. I am thinking of buying it for my kid.

I too have experienced the headaches from taking focus factor… I only took the 4 tablets in the morning that one day and I haven’t felt the same ever since. I am also sick to my stomach and my brain doesn’t feel normal anymore… I haven’t and am not going to take any more of that stuff. At the bottom of the ingredients it lists a bunch of synergistic and proprietary formulation ingredients… what are all of these things. I am considering going to get a catscan… am I going to be ok? Please respond with your opinions!!! thanks… chuck… I hope you will read my comment and post back! your last post is below….

I’ve been on focus factor for about a week now. I haven’t noticed much, no headaches though. I did pull out my driver to putt twice while golfing. Must have been focusing on the wrong factor. No elongated erection (or eshortgated). I just figured one day I’ll find my keys, and I’ll know the stuff works. What if I find your keys? What if my keys find me….. with your keys? Will my keys go into a jealous rage, or will they be understanding enough to know that your keys just aren’t worth wasting a 5 year commitment? Who knows all this focusing is making me want to see other keys. Will work it out.

Look, as we all know, all peoples bodies are different and they react differently with all the passers through i.e. Meds., vitamins and so on!! They may work, they may not, it all has to do with the makeup of your own body! After I get my bottle, i’ll repost something here to give you guys my thoughts yet again. Again, not sure if it works or not! Yeah, I know what you all mean about the guy trying to keep a straight face and whatnot, it is very crappy, but he’s probably one heck of a poker player, lol. People are capable of anything, especially if there are large lump sums of $ you know what involved. You all take care!!

Hi everyone- I actually just finished a bottle(the “free” one) of Focus Factor, and maybe it’s just psycological or some kind of placebo effect, but I swear there were days that I DID feel sharper and more lucid than my normal self. I am a network admin of a large global network, so my brain gets its excercise daily. I got on the web to try and find some definitive answers, because I have been considering getting some more. I see people write about vision enhancements- can’t say for sure I’ve noticed that, but, in an attempt to try and describe what I have noticed somewhat abstractly, I feel as if my brain has had more of a surface to “push” off of when thinking about something- I guess this would classify as improved concentration? I think I will hit up Target/Walgreens for the next bottle because as others have said, they want $60 a bottle. OH and YES it’s true- they sign you up to receive more bottles if you don’t “cancel” your “subscription” within 10 days so make sure you DO IT. That and some other club they try to make you a member of- that type of sh1t just p1$$3$ people off- but that’s separate from the actual effects of the product. I haven’t found anything conclusive enough, so it’s back to the lab for me.

After seeing this commercial numerous times, I am convinced that all of the people giving testimonials are related to the guy giving the pitch. They all resemble him. It’s his sister, bother, mother and grandmother. I’m sure.

okay well my son has already been expelled,in my opinion because of his awful school system which is unable to deal with kids who don’t “fit in”.We tried pills mostly because they were forced upon by the school and his doctor,They were awful and he was miserable! So I have tried other stuff in past, but, they either tasted horrible or did nothing. So I got a bottle at kroger’s for half price on their clearence table $17.Thought what could it hurt?No I never give out my credit card to anyone online for something that is supposedly free! If it’s free why the heck would they need my credit card?Come on people read the terms and agreement crap.usually in tiny print at the bottom of the page.Anyhow I will try it.But i am gonna give my son 2pills at a time instead of 8.As a rule I always try him on new things at home before sending him to school anyways, because they never tell me his miserable side effects as long as he shuts up and sets still. They don’t care if he’s a zombie or learning nothing as long as he doesn’t disturb their class.By the way don’t let the schools convince you have to listen to them and give your kids pills! The funny thing is my sister in law actually said “sounds like centrum”.Ha!She was probably right! But what could vitamins hurt?Right? If anyone knows of any ill effects please let me know here!Thank you !And wish us good Luck!Love and peace to all!

sounds like we have similar sons. I am searching for a natural supplement without all the awful side effects of typical ADHD meds. Its not even your awful school system - I’ve had my son in so many school - big, large, public, private. None of them know what to do with a kids who is bright but can’t sit still. If you find something that works - please post it!!!

Synaptol had good intentions-BUT it is NOT the product you are looking for. All Micronutra’s studies are stolen from Mannatech (Fischer Institute) who actually sells the real glyconutrients. Synaptol is nothing but starch, there are no safety seals and there is good cause to believe they use “isolates” which would be poisonous. The guy that was claiming to have formulated it was just busted for fraug. His name is Charles C. Thao. The whole company keeps plying a shell game with the FDA-They’re up on a 40 count indictment right now, but sold the business for a proverbial dollar to Albert who calls it Ionyx something . . .spread the word these guys are criminals. They even bottle the product in employees homes to hide from being raided again.
The studies are real, SYNAPTOL is a FRAUD!

I don’t believe in drugging kids for any reason. I found a natural solution that works at Barton publishing. In fact I first used their kidney stone remedy and passed my stones for the first time without pain. The information I got about ADHD has by two boys doing much better in sports and in class. Keep searching for alternatives!

I am absolutely convinced this guy hired his mother, brother, sister, and aunt to do this commercial. The resemblances are uncanny. It makes sense financially. If they were paid union professionals they would all be rich by now. My guess they were Taft-Hartleyed allowing a one-time exemption. I’ve got $100 burning a hole in my pocket if I’m wrong. Any ideas on how we can find this out? Imagine the scandal!
