There’s something about Taco Bell commercials that make them extra annoying without a lot of apparent effort on their part. In their latest product launch, they have utilized the phrase “good to go” to describe the fucking delicious “Crunch Wrap Supreme”.
I’m not sure if they are presenting the “good to go” product booth character as someone who is supposed to be annoying, but the end result is the whole spot being irritating. I feel more like I’m watching some inside joke that only two writers are laughing their asses off at. Is this guy supposed to be funny because he’s so uncharismatic? Do a lot of people go to technology conventions and have the ability to relate to this interaction?
I scale Taco Bell commercials on a scale of zero to one. This one scores a zero. Taco Bell, you may retake this commercial pass/fail next semester if you want to salvage your grade point average.

I work at a Taco Bell, and have experienced the problems this commercial causes. All too often, a customer drives and asks for a Good-to-go.

That’s what the person leaving the comment said. I guess we have to believe him.

First of all, Veridianedge, you’re an idiot. It’s people like yourself that do not appriciate what kind of hand movements it takes to do the “Good-To-Go.” When a customer (such as myself — I frequently do it) asks for a “Good-To-Go” all you have to fucking do is press the crunchwrap supreme button at taco bell. Thats pretty much all you minimum wage bastards need to take care of someone asks for a “Good-To-Go.”
Second off, TC, stop making fun of him cause he works at Taco Bell. The mexicans have to get paid somehow…

Who is the actor for the good to go? He is a kid actor, but can’t figure out who?!
Thanks

[…] It seems no advertising power in the known universe is obnoxious enough to unseat Taco Bell from its throne, where it sits as king of all awful television commercials. Looking back we remember some of the older “good to go” spots, and, unfortunately, so did the Taco Bell marketing team as we see in these two thirty-second spots. […]

Classic! Beats the freakin pants off the Culligan water lady on the radio!!! If it weren’t for a basic requirements of life, I would give up water all together! Being the semi-intelligent homo-sapien I am, I will continue to drink water (definately not Culligan), and I will continue to be “good to go”! I love these commercials… if you have any sense of humor at all, whether you like fast food or Taco Bell or not, you have to appreciate the humor in the story. If you don’t, or can’t, see the story, you are not “Good To Go”!!!
